Buds Outboard Marine inc.  is located on 9th street in Ocean City, NJ  (Americas Greatest Family Resort)  We have been an Evinrude/Johnson Dealer since 1977 and have seen the rise and fall of numerous outboard technologies.  We stuck with the Evinrude product through the OMC bankruptcy of 2000 (not an easy time!) because we believed in the quality of Evinrude Outboard's and specifically Evinrude's 2 stroke fuel injection.  We have continued to work on and through the evolution of fuel injection from Ficht to DI then ETEC and now the amazing ETEC G2.  With over 100 years of combined experience on Evinrude Outboards it is no surprise that we have customers come from all over the Mid Atlantic and Northeast regions for our expertise, service and quality Evinrude ETEC & G2 outboard installations.

    Besides the quality and knowledge of our staff we are truly a family business.  We are a small business with professional quality and a personal experience  We have survived the OMC bankrupcy, economic collapse, Superstorm Sandy, floods, blizzards, hurricanes and noreaster's on the loyalty of our customers and the quality of our service.

    Carl Stiles (Bud Sr.)  started out his career in outboard repairs as the Service Manager of Boyer's Marina along the bay front in Ocean City in 1960.  After Boyer's was sold  he set out on his own in 1977 and started Buds Outboard Service.  In 1980 he moved to our current location at 97 West 9th street in Ocean City and became Buds Outboard Marine Inc. 

    Scott Stiles (Bud Jr.)  started working full time at the shop in 1981, and after graduating from Widener University in 1988 with a degree in Electrical Engineering decided to stay on at the family business.   Bud Jr.  is a BRP Certified Technician and has received numerous accolades & certifications and been awarded  the Master Technician certification numerous times from both OMC and BRP.  

    Jason Adamson  joined the business in 1995 after receiving his degree in Criminal Justice.   Jason is a BRP Certified Technician, a qualified Evinrude Sales Pro, and an independent marine surveyor
